What’s on offer?
We wish to complement our existing Fulton Hogan Utilities team with a Procurement Lead to join our 10 year program of works for the City of Gold Coast. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to drive your career further within a vibrant delivery team that is proud to partner with our client to deliver world class utilities services for the customers and communities within which we operate.
In this role you'll be responsible for:
Lead procurement activities for program packages, including goods, services and construction works, from planning through to contract award
Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve value-for-money outcomes while supporting program delivery objectives
Manage market engagement, tendering and supplier selection processes in accordance with company policies, governance requirements and probity standards
Prepare procurement documentation, including sourcing strategies, scopes of work, tender packages, evaluation plans, recommendation reports and approval submissions
Coordinate supplier communications, tender clarifications, evaluations and contract negotiations to ensure timely and effective procurement outcomes
Manage procurement risks and opportunities, ensuring alignment with budget, program and delivery requirements
Support with downstream contract administration activities, including contract compliance, performance monitoring, change management, claims administration, reporting and close-out processes.
How you'll connect to the role:
Formal Qualifications in Contract Management, Construction Management or Quantity Surveying is desirable
Demonstrated experience in end to end procurement and contract formation in the construction and/or utilities sectors
Sound commercial and financial acumen related to the construction/utilities sectors
Experience in contractual notifications, claim preparation and negotiation
Have excellent IT skills and advanced skills in Excel and Word
Experience with JDE will be an advantage, but is not essential
