Your new role:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Adult Acute Inpatient Mental Health Service at Logan Hospital, delivering high-quality, recovery-oriented care within a multidisciplinary mental health team.
Provide advanced occupational therapy assessment, intervention, evaluation and discharge planning services for consumers within the Adult Acute Psychiatric Unit.
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, acting as a key clinical resource and contributing to complex clinical decision-making and patient-centred care.
Lead and support service development, quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives to enhance clinical outcomes and service delivery.
Provide supervision, education and support to junior clinicians, students and Allied Health Assistants while contributing to a positive learning culture.
About you:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Occupational Therapist who is passionate about mental health care and committed to delivering high-quality clinical services in a fast-paced inpatient environment.
Demonstrated experience delivering complex occupational therapy services within a mental health setting, including assessment, intervention, prioritisation and discharge planning.
Highly developed communication, consultation and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams and manage challenging situations professionally.
Proven ability to provide clinical leadership, supervision, mentoring and support to less experienced clinicians, students and support staff.
A commitment to continuous improvement, with experience contributing to quality improvement, service development and evidence-based practice initiatives.
