About the Role
We are seeking a Business Analyst to support our Technology & Innovation team in delivering system upgrades, new technology rollouts, process improvement initiatives and business transformation projects across the firm.
Working closely with the Senior Business Transformation Manager, technology teams, internal business services functions and Legal Practice Groups, the role assists with gathering and documenting business requirements, engaging stakeholders, mapping current and future state processes, supporting testing and quality assurance activities, analysing data and helping transition solutions into business as usual.
Responsibilities
- Work with business stakeholders, Legal Practice Groups and Tech & Innovation team to gather, clarify and document business requirements.
- Map and analyse current state and future state processes, identifying pain points, dependencies, risks, improvement opportunities and change impacts.
- Support the Technology & Innovation team with regular system upgrades, enhancements, testing cycles, new system implementations and rollout activities.
- Assist with quality assurance activities, including preparing test scenarios and test cases, coordinating user acceptance testing, logging defects and validating that solutions meet agreed requirements.
- Analyse business and system data to support decision-making, identify trends, validate assumptions and measure benefits or process outcomes.
- Prepare and maintain clear project and business documentation, including process maps, requirements documents, issue registers, UAT materials, training notes and user guides.
- Support change and adoption activities, including rollout preparation, training support, post-go-live support, feedback capture and transition to business as usual.
- Provide ad-hoc support to the Senior Business Transformation Manager and broader Technology & Innovation team across transformation initiatives and operational priorities.
About You
- Foundational to intermediate experience as a Business Analyst, Process Analyst or similar role, preferably in a professional services, legal, technology or business transformation environment.
- Understanding of business analysis practices, including requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, process mapping, documentation, testing and solution validation.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint, Copilot, Visio, SharePoint, Power BI, project management tools or issue tracking systems desirable; SQL skills or exposure to querying data would be a bonus.
- Awareness of technology delivery approaches, system implementation lifecycles, change management and continuous improvement principles.
- Interest in legal technology, automation, AI, workflow tools, data analysis and user-centred service improvement is desirable.
