We are seeking to engage 24 suitably qualified and experienced Mechanical Fitters along with several Pipe & Tube Fitters for an initial program of 8 rolling shuts starting early July and continuing through to mid February 2027. This will be followed by a further scope of works extending through to June 2027.
Location: Cape Lambert & Karratha (Pilbara)- WA
These roles are expected to run for for approximately 8 months (with a further 5 months thereafter to June 2027), with the bulk of the work to be performed at Cape Lambert consisting of reclaimers, stackers and loader overhauls. There will be an initial shut near Karratha (July) before moving to Cape Lambert for all of the remaining shuts.
Having current RIO/BHP/YARA Inductions and SAP Numbers will be a distinct advantage as will an MSIC Card.
Other Tickets and Qualifications Required & Beneficial to have:
- White Card
- Working at Heights
- Confined Space & Hazardous Atmospheres
- First Aid/Lock Holders/Permit Authorizations/Fire Fighting/4WD
- Hydra-tight Training HT10, HT17, HT18 - Advantageous
- Licence to Perform High Risk Work - LF, EWP, Dogging
- Manitou, Forklift and HR/HC Licenses would be highly regarded - but not essential
- An existing MSIC Card or capacity to obtain, based on background checks
Each Shutdown operates in its own right with a 2:1 roster with a maximum of 14 days on site permitted in line with fatigue management policies. There will be some small intervals between each shut which could work out well for short breaks or other mini-shuts (3-5 days). You will be working day shift only, 12 hour days. A Flat Casual Pay Rate applies to all hours worked near Karratha of $80/HR + Super i.e. $6,720 gross and $4,212 net weekly take home pay.
A Flat Casual Pay Rate applies to all hours worked at Cape Lambert of $75/HR. This equates to $6,300 gross and $3,989 net take home weekly pay, plus superannuation.
You must be in a position to mobilize by the 4th July, some sooner for "prep work". You must be available to attend medicals (as required) including D&A screening and inductions (where applicable) prior to mobilization to site.
