Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced, analytical, and highly driven Computer Network and Systems Engineer to join our elite technical operations infrastructure team in Perth. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design, implementation, performance monitoring, and configuration optimization of our clients' core server topologies, wide area networks, and multi-tenant cloud ecosystems. You will spearhead architectural integrity across complex environments, integrating next-generation firewalls, secure VPN protocols, and automated disaster recovery operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and configure complex multi-vendor network topologies, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and software-defined network infrastructures.
- Direct the deployment and optimization of high-performance physical and virtual server infrastructure, central storage arrays, and network hardware.
- Implement and oversee robust perimeter defense policies, encompassing Enterprise Firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS/IPS), content filtering, and zero-trust VPN access.
- Monitor system performance, throughput, and resource utilization to troubleshoot network anomalies and proactively maximize system availability.
- Architect and orchestrate secure hybrid integrations with cloud enterprise suites, specifically Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, and remote virtual desktops.
- Design and maintain automated offsite data backups, redundancy failovers, and comprehensive disaster recovery plans to safeguard business continuity.
- Coordinate network configuration policies to support proprietary platforms and database registers such as Service Scheduler and PoliceBook across client nodes.
- Act as the Tier 3 senior technical resource to isolate, diagnose, and remediate advanced system errors, infrastructure overloads, and routing conflicts.
- Formulate, maintain, and audit comprehensive technical network schematics, architectural roadmaps, and administrative systems procedures.
About You
- Demonstrated professional experience working as a Network or Systems Engineer within a Managed IT Services environment.
- Advanced technical proficiency across enterprise network equipment (routers, managed switches), virtualization platforms, and core routing protocols.
- Proven ability to interpret client workflows, convert business priorities into resilient IT systems, and convey complex solutions into plain language.
- Meticulous attention to detail, robust problem-solving instincts, and an active commitment to a cyber-first approach.
- Relevant tertiary qualification or specialized vendor certifications (e.g., CCNA/CCNP, MCSA, Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent industry experience).
Pay: $79,499.00 per year
