We're looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of strategic technology and business transformation initiatives within a complex financial services environment.
This is an opportunity to join a collaborative team where you'll drive multiple concurrent projects, influence key stakeholders, and ensure high-quality outcomes are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned to business objectives.
You will play a critical role in navigating competing priorities, managing risk, and creating visibility across projects while fostering strong partnerships with technology, business, and delivery teams.
What you'll be doing
As a Project Manager, you will:
- Lead end-to-end project delivery across multiple concurrent initiatives
- Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with business and technology stakeholders
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and governance frameworks
- Monitor project performance, budgets, risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure successful outcomes
- Deliver regular status reporting and executive-level updates
- Facilitate informed decision-making through clear communication and data-driven insights
- Manage project financials, budget forecasting, and change control processes
- Drive stakeholder engagement across business, technology, and vendor teams
- Promote strong governance, compliance, and risk management practices
- Support and motivate cross-functional delivery teams, removing obstacles and enabling success
- Contribute to continuous improvement of project delivery methodologies and standards
What you'll bring
Essential experience
- Proven track record delivering complex projects from initiation through to implementation
- Strong project management experience within financial services environments
- Demonstrated expertise managing project scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, and governance
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels
- Experience leading cross-functional teams across multiple locations
- Strong understanding of Software Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC) practices
- Experience working within Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery environments
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
- Strong risk management and compliance awareness
- Hands-on experience with project reporting and governance frameworks
Preferred experience
- Experience within Superannuation, Insurance, Wealth Management, or related financial services sectors
- PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, Agile certifications, or equivalent qualifications
- Familiarity with Jira, ServiceNow, SharePoint, and Microsoft collaboration tools
- Understanding of enterprise technology environments and delivery practices
