The TCP or Wireline Perforating Field Operator is responsible for preparing, deploying, and operating Tubing-Conveyed Perforating systems in oil and gas wells under TCP Supervisor management.
This includes attending pre-job briefings, equipment maintenance in shop, job execution at the wellsite under TCP Field specialist supervision.
TCP operator works in compliance with HSE standards and client requirements.
Main goal of the TCP operators will be loading the guns, work offshore under TCP Field Supervisor management as part of the TCP crew.
You will be following TCP Field Supervisor directions and work with gun systems, monitor wellhead and operate auxiliary equipment.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Job Preparation and Planning:
o Participate in pre-job safety meetings and hazard identification (HAZID) reviews
o Maintain the required safety training and reporting objectives
o Perform TCP gun loading
o Monitor wellhead parameters, work in coordination with rig or completion crews to ensure smooth execution
o Perform operations with explosives in line with the Schlumberger Explosives Standards and Procedures
o Perform tool redress, explosives reconciliation, and post-job equipment inspection
- Equipment Maintenance & Readiness
o Maintain TCP equipment, firing heads, and ancillary tools in operational condition
Educational Qualifications and Experience
– Minimum 5 years’ experience in relative field – TCP or WL Perforating operations
– Familiar with explosives handling and dangerous goods manifests
– Understanding of explosives initiation and explosive train theories
