Rooftop Eleven Pty Ltd trading as Maya Mexican is a premium dining Mexican restaurant operating in a high end hospitality environment. As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to take overall responsibility for restaurant operations, performance and service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the overall daily operations of the restaurant to ensure high quality service delivery and consistent guest experience
- Taking full responsibility for restaurant performance including service standards, customer satisfaction and operational efficiency
- Leading, supervising and managing all front of house staff including recruitment, training, rostering, performance management and workforce planning
- Overseeing staff performance and making decisions relating to engagement, allocation of duties and operational requirements
- Managing financial performance including labour costs, stock control, budgets and cost efficiency targets
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation including food safety, liquor licensing, workplace health and safety and employment obligations
- Developing and implementing operational procedures to maintain and improve service quality and business performance
- Managing customer feedback, resolving complaints and ensuring a high standard of guest relations
- Liaising with chefs, suppliers and senior management to support menu execution, service delivery and business objectives
- Preparing operational reports and providing recommendations to senior management on business performance and improvements
- Ensuring all records, documentation and reporting requirements are accurately maintained
Key Requirements:
- Relevant Diploma qualification or at least three years of relevant experience in a Restaurant Manager or equivalent senior hospitality management role
- Strong leadership experience in a premium dining or high volume restaurant environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage restaurant operations independently with accountability for business outcomes
- Strong knowledge of hospitality compliance requirements, service standards and operational controls
- Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced, customer focused environment
