Job Overview
The role is critical in ensuring financial integrity, transparency, and governance through meaningful reporting, budgeting, and statutory compliance obligations.
Working closely with senior leaders and managers, to share knowledge which will guide data driven decision making. This role suits a detail-focused accountant who enjoys learning new things and is motivated by delivering accurate, timely information.

Key Responsibilities of this role include but not limited to
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- On time, meaningful and robust reports
- Prepare and enhance monthly management reports, analyse trends and variances, and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow projections.
- Identify and communicate financial risks and anomalies to leadership.
Compliance & Regulatory Reporting
- Prepare year-end financial statements and supporting work papers, liaising with external auditors.
- Prepare and submit funding expenditure reports and acquittals.
- FBT, BAS and other regulatory body returns.
Teamwork & Continuous Improvement is important to us, we are looking for someone to actively work collaboratively to solve problems, drive continuous improvement and support other team members.
To be successful in this role, you will have
- Tertiary qualification in accounting
- Membership or studying towards CA or CPA preferably
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably within not-for-profit sectors
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles and knowledge of ATO legislation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Microsoft Excel with experience and knowledge in D365 based accounting software and working with various integrated systems
