The Local Spoon Pty Ltd or “Sailo’s Restaurant” as it is known by locals, is the Manning Valley’s premiere hospitality venue situated on the banks of the glorious Manning River in Taree. The Club’s bar and dining facilities feature a wonderful 180 degree vista of the river downstream towards Dumaresq Island and upstream towards the historic Martin Bridge. With the recent addition of our Cowper Street restaurant, we're growing our team and looking for motivated people who want to be a part of an expanding hospitality group.
About the Position
We are a busy venue serving a high volume of modern Australian menu. This is a busy position and will require applicant with previous experience in a similar role.

What we are looking from you
1. Previous experience working as a chef in a similar environment
2. Completed Cert IV in Commercial Cookery or demonstrated equivalent practical experience in the position
3. Sound knowledge of Food Safety and Quality Assurance
4. Good communication skill and ability to work with the team under pressure
Job Duties
1. Follow the given house recipes and prepare high-quality dishes with a focus on innovation and taste to provide unforgettable experience to customers.
2. Oversee kitchen operations and ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Maintain a clean, hygienic and organized kitchen environment
3. Assist Head Chef in developing the new menu recipes and upgrading existing menu to suite various function and dietary requirements.
4. Maintain proper and standards of storage of various food items.
5. Manage inventory, check stock level and order supplies.
6. Check delivery and minimize wastage as well as control food costs.
7. Train new staffs as required and rostering of the kitchen team
Pay - $76,600 to $80,000 plus Super p.a
