We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Project Supervisor / Area Manager to join Powertech on a major Rail and Infrastructure Project.
Position Overview:
Super paid on all hours worked & great $$$ rates paid
- Role: Electrical Project Supervisor / Area Manager
- Roster: Monday–Friday (occasional Saturday as required)
- Hours: 10 hours per day
- Duration: 3–6 months (potential to extend)
- Start Date: ASAP
- Location: Brisbane, QLD
Scope of Work:
Oversee all electrical construction activities within a designated work area on a major rail and infrastructure project.
Manage HV/LV installation works including cable management, switchboards, earthing, and terminations.
Supervise subcontractors, foremen, and tradespeople to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient project delivery.
Develop short-term look-ahead programmes and coordinate labour, materials, and resources.
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and provide updates to the Project Manager.
Ensure compliance with ITPs, Hold & Witness Points, NCR management, and project quality standards.
Maintain site documentation, daily diaries, and reporting requirements.
Coordinate permits to work, isolations, and access requirements.
Liaise with client representatives, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to support project delivery.
Champion a strong safety-first culture across all project activities.
About You:
At least 8 years’ experience in electrical construction, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or area management role on major infrastructure or rail projects.
Strong knowledge of HV and LV electrical systems, cable installation, switchboard construction, earthing, and testing.
Proven ability to coordinate subcontractors and trade crews across large project work areas.
Solid understanding of WHS legislation, electrical safety standards, and site safety management systems.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and ITP documentation.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work effectively within fast-paced construction environments.
