The role of the Enrolled Nurse in the Cowra Community Health Team will be providing holistic Nursing including Comprehensive assessments, Wound management, Palliative Care, symptom management, and clinical procedures in a variety of setting, Home visit and clinics. The successful applicant will be working under the supervision of the RN closely with other members of the Multi- disciplinary Team and other support services.
The role is Monday- Friday service.
Cowra Community Health is a leading provider of healthcare services committed to delivering high-quality Care. In this role, you will be an integral part of our broader multi-disciplinary team, collaborating with professionals from various fields, including physiotherapy, speech pathology, child and family health, dietetics, occupational therapy, social work, women's health, sexual assault counselling, and acute services.
Working with the Community Nursing Team you will be working in the newly developed Cowra Hospital with a designated Wound clinic space. The successful applicant will be required to work independently and have a high clinical proficiency. The position also will involve Home visit in the community or to local facilities.
The Community Nursing service receives referrals from the Emergency department, GP, and other Hospitals. The successful candidate will be required to complete comprehensive assessments, assist with developing plan of care, attend Regular Case review meetings.
The $110.2 million Cowra Hospital Redevelopment is now complete. The new hospital delivers modern, purpose-built facilities to meet the health needs of Cowra and surrounding communities, both now and into the future.
The new hospital includes:
- A general medical and surgical inpatient ward.
- A peri-operative service for various surgical procedures.
- A maternity unit with a dedicated nursery.
- Ambulatory care for outpatients.
- A renal dialysis unit for outpatient treatment.
- An oncology unit for chemotherapy treatments.
- Community Health and Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol services.
- A medical imaging department with a CT scanner and ultrasound.
