About the role
Fadden Medical Centre is seeking an experienced and dedicated General Practitioner to join our established practice in Fadden, ACT. This is a full-time position with opportunities for career development and work-life balance. As a General Practitioner at our medical centre, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality, comprehensive primary care to our diverse patient community.
What you’ll be doing
- Conducting comprehensive medical examinations and consultations to diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions
- Developing and implementing individualised treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, such as blood work, imaging, and other procedures
- Providing health education and promoting preventive care to empower patients to manage their own health
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, such as specialists and allied health providers, to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care
- Maintaining meticulous patient records and complying with all relevant medical regulations and guidelines
What we’re looking for
- A medical degree and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- At least 3 years of post-graduate clinical experience as a General Practitioner, preferably in a community-based practice
- Strong clinical skills and a comprehensive understanding of evidence-based best practices in primary care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with patients from diverse backgrounds
- A commitment to continuous learning and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest medical advancements
- A collaborative and patient-centred approach to healthcare delivery
