We are looking for a cyber security analyst capable of working in a fast paced environment, the role is to analyse the reports and logs for any security incidents from various tools and turning them into meaningful results. You will be assessing our customer infrastructure and advising of any vulnerabilities or further solutions required, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety and thrives in an organised, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor client networks and systems for cyber security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Perform Penetration testing – Vonahi – Kali – other open source tools
- Investigate and respond to any detected security incidents and alerts via SIEM or Aurora Optics
- Firewall and network security/IDS/IPS – Sonicwall
- Endpoint security – Aurora Protect – Defender
- Cloud Security reviews – 365 inbuilt tools – NDP
- Incident response support and remediation
- Produce reports on the current cyber state of clients, advise on best practice solutions to resolve
- Maintain a relationship with our cyber security vendors as appropriate
- Other tasks as directed
Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a closely related field, or equivalent relevant experience/certifications
- Analyse security incidents post event
- Test current infrastructure for vulnerabilities
· Hands on experience with security tools such as SIEM, vulnerability management, email gateways, Azure, Intune, and Microsoft Defender
- Evaluate tools as required to do the job
- Working knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001, Essential 8, MITRE ATT&CK) and incident response practices, pentesting skills)
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Organised and able to meet deadlines
- Excellent report writing skills
Experience:
- At least 3 years in a similar role preferred
- Must have experience with Sonicwall firewalls
- Experience with Vonahi for pentesting or similar experience in other tools
- Must have experience using Kaseya RMM and Connectwise Manage
- Experience with BCP/BCDR Planning and scoping
