What’s on offer?
Our Fulton Hogan Infrastructure Services business is now seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our team based at our Hazelmere site. Ideally you will hold a minimum Certificate III, together with some construction material testing experience (either soils or concrete). Ideally you will be looking to develop a long-term career within our organisation.
You will be responsible for the testing of asphalt, PMB, and emulsion to relevant standard methods in our NATA Laboratory, supporting the safe and efficient delivery of our products to customers.
Reporting to the Technical Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Testing various products such as neat bitumen, modified bitumen, asphalt and emulsions
Hands‑on, day‑to‑day management of samples and testing in accordance with specified requirements
Handling and managing chemicals in line with relevant standards
Managing testing, reporting, data analysis and equipment calibrations
Conducting procedures safely and maintaining good housekeeping of the laboratory and equipment
Providing technical support to production departments
Maintaining the laboratory in accordance with NATA requirements
Undertaking local travel as required, based on business needs
