Elevate Mechanical Pty Ltd a Sydney based company is seeking experienced Lift Fitters to join our Team. The position is and based across Sydney NSW. The salary range for this role is $93,000 - $125,000 per annum plus superannuation.
The Lift Fitter is an integral role within our organisation. This position is responsible for the execution of construction of lifts (excluding electrical components) and representing the business on site.
Our ideal candidate is known for establishing strong relationships, working autonomously and is self motivated. They are highly competent in lift installation. They take extra care with things like noise, mess and peoples right to exist in and around the locations we operate in.
Qualifications / Experience:
Candidates being considered must have been trained in and understand the installation methodology for KONE and or OTIS. They must be able to demonstrate skilled use of all relevant hand and power tools. They will have at least 2 years experience.
Tasks/duties:
- Ability to install mechanical components of the lift as per manufacturer guidelines and EN 81-20 guidelines
- Plumbing the shaft with plumb wire or lasers
- Installation of over speed governor system
- Installation of the lift car structure
- Installation of rails
- Installation of landing doors
- Roping of lift
- Finalisation of levelling and door lock systems
- Liaise with builder and other third-party sub-contractors
- Designs, installs, maintains, services and repairs electric and hydraulic passenger and freight lifts, escalators, moving walkways and other lift equipment.
- Examining technical drawings, wiring diagrams and specifications to determine sequences and methods of operation
- Measuring and laying out installation reference points
- Selecting, cutting and connecting wire and cable to terminals and connectors
- Using electrical and electronic test instruments to trace and diagnose faults
- Repairing and replacing faulty wiring and defective parts
- Positioning and installing electrical switchboards
- Connecting electrical systems to power supply
- Testing continuity of circuit
- Installing, testing and adjusting electric and mechanical parts of lifts
- Building the mechanical components of the lifts
- Decommissioning the mechanical components of old lifts
- Wiring electronic components of the lift
- Running new mains
- Upgrading switchboards
- Decommissioning electrical components of old lift
- Services and repairs of intricate and complex electrical and electronic circuitry
- Installs, tests, connects, commissions, maintains and modifies electrical equipment, wiring and control systems.
- Preparing all materials
- Organisation of all parts and tools throughout build
- Consolidation of waiting parts to ensure no damage or loss
- Keeping area clean and organised
- Reasonable protection of company property against damage or theft
