About the Position
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Residential Care Officer to join our expanding team. In this role, you will report directly to the Manager and play a key part in coordinating and improving the delivery of care within residential settings. You will serve as the main point of contact for clients, families, and care staff, ensuring services are delivered efficiently, compassionately, and in alignment with care plans and regulatory standards.
The key responsibilities includes the following but not limited to:
· Coordinate and oversee the delivery of care services to clients (including children) in residential settings
· Provide care, support, and guidance to individuals with disabilities in residential and group home settings, while offering assistance and education to their families
· Assess clients’ physical, emotional, and behavioural needs to determine appropriate levels of care and support
· Develop, implement, and review individualised support, training, and care programs based on assessed needs
· Conduct client interviews and evaluations to understand abilities, goals, and areas requiring support
· Monitor client progress and maintain accurate records, reporting outcomes as required
· Assist clients in building positive relationships, social skills, and community connections
· Support individuals with complex needs, including mental health and addiction challenges, through structured care and appropriate referrals
· Liaise with clients, families, care workers, and external stakeholders to ensure individual care needs are met.
· Provide direct day-to-day support, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication assistance, ensuring a safe and supportive environment
Selection Criteria / Requirements
· At least a Certificate III or higher in Community Services, Aged Care, Disability, or a related field.
· 1-3 years experience in a similar role within the disability or residential care sector
· Sound understanding of the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework
· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with excellent organizational ability
· Proven ability to work independently and effectively manage responsibilities across multiple sites
· Must have full Australian working rights

Pay: $76,515.00 – $80,000.00 per year
