As a Operator in Training (Fugal Operator) at Wilmar Sugar & Renewables, you'll be involved in transforming raw ingredients into high-quality sugar.
This seasonal position is based at Pioneer Mill in North Queensland's Burdekin region, known for its stunning landscapes, rich agricultural heritage, and a vibrant community. The Burdekin region offers a fantastic lifestyle with a warm climate, beautiful beaches and a range of recreational activities, making it a great place to live and work.
During the Crush this position follows a continuous rotating shift roster.
Your Role in Action
- Operations: Produce high grade sugar to the required quality standards with minimal disruption to operations and product loss.
- Collaboration: Work in conjunction and communicate effectively with the Mill management, Pan Boilers and Shift Team.
- Analysis: Sample, inspect and perform basic analysis on sugar and molasses streams.
- Housekeeping: Maintain excellent housekeeping practices around fugal station to ensure a safe work environment.
- Maintenance: Perform regular inspection of plant, equipment and complete maintenance request as required.
- Data Entry: Complete logbooks, charts and any other data collection required by management.
Your Winning Combination
The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate an ability and willingness to obtain relevant role competencies such as Working Safely at Height, Confined Space Entry and Rigger, Dogger and Scaffolder High Risk Work Licences.
