About the Role
The Media Coordinator is a fast-paced, hands-on role supporting the delivery of media and communications activities across the Department. The role involves coordinating media materials, responding to enquiries and contributing to campaigns that promote government priorities and initiatives.
Based in the Media team within the Community Engagement branch in the Delivery and Engagement group, this role works closely with senior media advisors and key stakeholders. It includes preparing communication materials, supporting events and announcements, and managing media processes in a high-volume environment with competing priorities.

We're Looking For

Communication: Demonstrated experience writing clear, accurate content (e.g. media materials, briefings, presentations)

Media & Communications: Experience supporting campaigns, media enquiries or content delivery across multiple channels

Planning & Prioritisation: Capability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and respond to changing demands

Systems & Tools: Experience using digital tools, shared inboxes or reporting systems to support communications work

Delivery & Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality outputs in a fast-paced environment

Stakeholder Engagement: Proven ability to build and maintain relationships to deliver coordinated outcomes.

Salary: Classification Clerk Grade 5/6. Package includes base salary ($99,938 - $110,27 plus superannuation (12%) and leave loading.
