Simplex Tuition is a one-on-one tutoring service based in Austral, working with students from primary school through to Year 12. We focus on personalised, high-quality teaching that gets real results — and we treat both students and parents like the priority they are.
The role
We're looking for a tutor who can confidently teach both Maths and English, including HSC-level content. You'll be working one-on-one with students across a range of year groups and abilities.
What we need from you
- Strong subject knowledge in HSC Maths (Standard and Advanced) and HSC English
- Comfortable teaching primary and high school students as well
- Wide availability across weekday afternoons, evenings, and weekends — this is essential
- Excellent communication skills — you'll be dealing with parents regularly and need to handle those conversations professionally
- Patience and emotional intelligence — some students are harder to engage than others, and we need someone who can manage that without losing their cool
- Reliable, punctual, and organised
Nice to have
- Prior tutoring or teaching experience
- Familiarity with the NSW curriculum and selective school prep
- Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain one)
