About the Role:
We are seeking a commercially-minded and data-driven Business Analyst – Sales to support the growth and performance of our sales function. This role will provide actionable insights, drive sales strategy, and ensure we remain competitive in a rapidly evolving marketplace. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders and external clients to optimise pricing, improve customer experience, and drive product-market fit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales support: Assist with reports, presentations, product demos and marketing materials to support the sales team. Represent the company in client meetings and at external events to promote our brand and solutions.
- Sales Performance Analytics: Analyse and report on key sales metrics, performance trends, and pipeline health to support decision-making.
- Pricing Strategy: Assist in reviewing and setting competitive pricing for the Equix product suite, ensuring alignment with market expectations and customer value.
- Competitor analysis: Conduct ongoing competitor research and provide regular updates to the team on market developments, new functionalities, and strategic opportunities.
- Customer Support: Assist existing, new, and prospective customers with product-related queries via phone, email, and other communication channels.
- Revenue Forecasting: Collaborate with Sales and Finance teams to develop accurate revenue models and scenario planning.
- Process Optimisation: Identify bottlenecks in the sales process and recommend improvements to enhance conversion and customer satisfaction.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with Product, Marketing, and Finance teams to ensure alignment between insights and strategic priorities.
- Ad hoc tasks: Assist with other tasks and projects as directed.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by your direct manager and the company’s leadership, including training and onboarding new staff, as well as supporting Melbourne office activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in a sales analyst, business analyst, or commercial role, preferably in fintech, or technology environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex client requirements to the technical development team.
- Strong customer-centric mindset with the ability to manage queries professionally and efficiently.
- Strong commitment to punctuality and professional conduct.
Desirable:
- Experience working in competitive or fast-paced industries.
- Background in fintech or trading platform environments.
- Understanding of pricing models and sales incentive structures.
Pay: Up to $90,000.00 per year
