The Role
We are seeking an Assistant Corporate Accountant to join our Global Finance team in Brisbane. This is an outstanding opportunity for a high-performer looking to make their first move from public practice into a large, complex ASX100 organisation.
Reporting to the GM Finance Global, you will support key corporate accounting activities while gaining exposure to global reporting, business partnering and finance transformation initiatives. Working within a fast-paced and collaborative environment, you'll have the opportunity to build on your technical foundations while developing your commercial and corporate accounting capability.You will join a supportive team that values curiosity, ownership and continuous improvement, while providing exposure to complex systems, global stakeholders and opportunities for future career growth.
Support monthly corporate accounting, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations
Assist with business performance and board reporting activities
Support intercompany accounting and reconciliation processes
Assist with lease accounting and IFRS16 reporting requirements
Support fixed asset accounting and year-end reporting processes
Contribute to process improvement and systems enhancement initiatives
What you’ll bring
You must be committed to positively contributing to our safe, inclusive and high-performance culture
Accounting, Finance or related business degree
CPA or CA qualified, or close to completion
Experience in Big 4 Audit, Business Services or public practice
Strong Excel and systems capability
Curiosity, energy, accountability and a collaborative approach to work
