Due to our continued growth and increasing client base, we are seeking applications to work in a part time role as a dual role of NSW Self Insurer Case Manager & RTW Coordinator.
Working within our Claims Consulting team, day to day you will be:
- NSW workers compensation legislation application for a range of Self insurers including liability, weekly benefit application, injury management planning and legal disputes
- Providing quality RTW coordination within the Australian jurisdictions for Workers Compensation
- Supporting people to recover and RTW and pre-injury activities for both work related and non-work related injuries
- Working to implement return to work plans in the workplaces, supporting workers as they recover at work
- Assisting employers to meet their obligations as required under National Workers Compensation legislation
- Liaising with health professionals, specialists, employers, insurers and other key stakeholders to drive positive outcomes for clients.
The Position:
- This is a unique role that supports leave coverage within the team, that involves short term placement with a variety working as a Case Manager in the NSW Self Insurance industry whilst also managing RTW cases across a range of clients
- This is a permanent part-time role, working 5 hours per day, Monday to Friday.
- Flexibility with hours and working from home, however able to complete onsite work as requested
- Onsite presence required at client along with attending GP case conferences and workplace visits to develop RTW plans.
About You:
- Mandatory: minimum 5 years case management experience in NSW scheme
- Experience working within self-insurance (highly regarded)
- Understand the day to day requirements of application of benefits and Claims Management including calculating PIAWE, drafting disputes, applying the reasonable and necessary test to medical treatment, Injury Management Planning and legal proceedings
- Independent working with ability to fit into multiple different work scenarios and clients
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail, critical thinking & problem solving
- A sense of urgency in day to day activities and excellent time management
- Honesty, integrity, a good team attitude & positive approach.
