Bottle Shop Manager – Bull & Bush Hotel
The Bull & Bush Hotel is seeking an experienced, motivated and hands-on Bottle Shop Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Bottle Shop while managing beverage inventory across both the Hotel and Bottle Shop.
This is a leadership role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced hospitality environment, has strong stock control experience, and is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Bottle Shop.
- Order stock for both the Hotel and Bottle Shop.
- Conduct regular stocktakes and investigate stock variances.
- Manage inventory levels, stock rotation and minimise wastage.
- Update pricing in line with CPI, supplier increases and promotions.
- Monitor sales, revenue and gross profit margins.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships and coordinate deliveries.
- Receive, check and process incoming stock.
- Lead, train, supervise and motivate the Bottle Shop team.
- Prepare staff rosters and manage day-to-day team performance.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and resolve customer enquiries.
- Maintain high standards of merchandising, presentation and cleanliness.
- Ensure compliance with RSA legislation, liquor licensing requirements and company policies.
- Support hotel management in achieving sales, operational and financial targets.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Previous experience managing a Bottle Shop or liquor retail business.
- Strong stock management and ordering experience.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Sound financial understanding with the ability to manage revenue and margins.
- Current RSA Certificate.
- Current RCG/ARCG is desirable.
- Approved Manager Licence (or willingness to obtain) is desirable.
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and public holidays.

Pay: $60,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
