% Arabica Australia is opening its first flagship store at Bondi Beach, and we are looking for an exceptional Head Barista to help lead the coffee program.
% Arabica is a globally recognised coffee brand known for its premium coffee, minimalist design, strong visual identity, and carefully considered store experience. The Bondi Beach flagship will be the first % Arabica store in Australia, so this is a key opening role for someone who wants to help represent and build the brand properly from day one.
This role is for a highly skilled specialty coffee professional who can deliver outstanding espresso, milk texture, latte art, workflow, service and team training.
Just as importantly, we are looking for someone with personality. This is not a standard barista role. The successful candidate must be able to engage naturally with guests, explain coffee with confidence, create a memorable customer experience, and represent the % Arabica brand with warmth, professionalism and pride.
You will work closely with the Operations Manager and Managing Director to prepare the store for opening, train the barista team, maintain % Arabica standards, and lead the coffee bar once trading begins.
Roasting experience is highly regarded, especially small-batch or in-store roasting experience, but it is not essential. The priority is that you are a genuinely excellent barista who can lead by example.
Pay: $39.00 – $81,416.67 per year
