Qualified Mechanics – Two Positions Available
Hutchison Repairs & Racecars (HRR) – Mudgee, NSW
We are looking for two qualified mechanics to join our team at HRR. Applicants may be qualified as either Light Vehicle or Heavy Vehicle Mechanics.
Our workshop completes a broad range of work, including general servicing and repairs, diagnostics, heavy vehicle work, performance vehicles and restorations. No two days are exactly the same.
The positions
We are looking to fill two roles:
Experienced All-Round Mechanic
We need at least one experienced and capable all-rounder who is confident completing a wide variety of mechanical work. The successful applicant should be able to diagnose faults, complete repairs and work independently when required.
General Mechanic
The second position will suit a qualified mechanic who is confident completing general servicing, maintenance and repairs. Applicants with broader all-round experience are strongly encouraged to apply, as we would be very happy to employ two experienced all-rounders.
What we offer

- Current shifts commence at either 7:30 am or 8:30 am
- Optional additional hours may be available until approximately 6:30 pm

- Opportunity to transition into permanent full-time employment following the initial casual period
Essential requirements
- Qualified Light Vehicle or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
- Current Australian driver’s licence, as the position involves road testing customers’ vehicles
- Good mechanical knowledge and fault-finding skills
- Ability to complete work safely and to a high standard
- Reliable, organised and able to work well as part of a team
- Good communication and attention to detail
The positions will initially be offered on a 3 months casual basis with 38 hours available each week. Casual loading will apply during this period. Following the initial period, there will be an opportunity to transition into permanent full-time employment, subject to suitability and performance.
