The Role
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Perth engineering team.
Working within a highly experienced group of professionals, you will be responsible for leading electrical engineering delivery, supporting power system studies and modelling activities, mentoring engineers and ensuring high-quality technical outcomes across studies, detailed design, project execution and commissioning phases.
Key Duties

Lead electrical engineering activities across studies, detailed design, project execution and commissioning phases

Develop and review electrical design deliverables including calculations, specifications, datasheets, technical reports and design documentation

Apply power system study and modelling experience to support electrical design decisions, system performance assessments and technical recommendations

Prepare, review and interpret power system studies including load flow, short circuit, motor starting, protection coordination, arc flash, harmonic and transient or dynamic assessments

Provide technical leadership, review and assurance of electrical calculations, modelling assumptions, reports and design deliverables

Coordinate client, vendor, utility and multidisciplinary engineering interfaces to resolve electrical infrastructure and project delivery requirements

Support scope, schedule and cost inputs for electrical work packages, including proposal development and technical evaluations

Mentor Graduate and Electrical Engineers in electrical design, power system study methodology, engineering quality, safety and continuous improvement
You Will Have

Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical Engineering) or equivalent

Extensive experience delivering electrical engineering within mineral processing, mining, industrial or utility-connected project environments

Strong technical knowledge of LV and MV electrical systems, power distribution, protection systems, motor control, power quality and earthing interfaces

Strong power system study and modelling background, with demonstrated experience using DIgSILENT PowerFactory preferred; ETAP or equivalent platforms also highly regarded

Experience preparing or reviewing power system studies and reports, including load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, arc flash, harmonic and transient or dynamic assessments

Strong report writing skills with the ability to clearly communicate design basis, modelling assumptions, study outcomes, technical risks and engineering recommendations

Experience across project development, engineering, construction support, commissioning and operational readiness phases

Strong stakeholder management, mentoring and technical leadership capability, with RPEQ registration or progress toward registration desirable
