The Information Technology (IT) function is seen as an important enabler to the achievement of HammondCare’s mission. This is driven by the requirement of the organisation to meet the changing needs of people with complex health or aged care needs and our employees within a growing geographically diverse organisation and across a continuum of care.
The Data Engineering Lead is responsible for designing, building, and scaling the organization’s data platform and analytics ecosystem. This role leads a cross-functional team comprising data engineers, full-stack developers/engineers, data integrators, data scientist, ensuring seamless data flow, robust architecture, and delivery of insights-driven solutions that enable business outcomes.
The role blends technical leadership, people management, architecture design, and stakeholder engagement to deliver high-quality, secure, and scalable data solutions.
Works across multiple source systems and data domains
Designs and supports enterprise ‑ grade data pipelines
Operates in a regulated, care ‑ based environment with strong data integrity requirements
Influences data architecture and platform decisions without people management
Balances delivery urgency with long ‑ term data sustainability
This role is a permanent position based at St Leonards with hybrid opportunities.
