We are seeking a full-time permanent motor mechanic (general) to be positioned within our QLD workshop team.
Relevant qualification/s and two years relevant experience is desired.
Day to day duties include:
- Identifying and diagnosing faults in engine systems and electrical components.
- Disassembling and removing engine units, gearboxes, steering systems, and related parts for inspection.
- Repairing or replacing damaged or worn components, reassembling mechanical systems, and consulting service manuals where required.
- Carrying out routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, lubrication, and engine tuning to optimise performance and meet emissions standards.
- Reassembling engines and associated components following repair work.
- Testing and fine-tuning mechanical systems post-repair to ensure correct operation.
- Using computer systems to assist in diagnosing and testing mechanical and electrical parts.
- Conduct vehicle inspections and outline the necessary repairs to meet roadworthiness standards.
