YMCA Childcare and Kindergarten is a small, boutique service of 55 children over three rooms. We dedicate our day to ensuring that the children in our care get the most out of their play, learn new skills and develop an understanding of what they can accomplish. Our team of passionate, dedicated Educators support our children to achieve goals, extend on learning and ensure that all children have the opportunity to thrive in their time with us.
About The Role
YMCA Childcare and Kindergarten are seeking a COOK/CHEF.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and prepare healthy, child-friendly meals and snacks
- Cater for allergies, dietary requirements, and cultural preferences
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, and kitchen compliance standards
- Manage food ordering and stock control
- Work collaboratively with educators and families
- Ensure meals align with nutritional guidelines and centre policies

About You
- Current Paid Blue Card
- Previous experience working in a childcare service (desirable)
- Be a team player
- Communication skills
- Experience as a Cook/Chef
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Knowledge of safe food handling practices
