Aestec Services is looking for motivated young people to join our 2027 Apprentice Carpentry Intake at QAL.
Gladstone, Queensland – QAL
Commencing January 2027
On-the-job training and support throughout your apprenticeship
This is a full-time position with a 38-hour work week over four years, with the opportunity for ongoing employment after successfully completing your apprenticeship.
What does a Carpenter do?
As a Carpenter, you'll learn how to:

Build, install and repair structures and fittings
-
Use hand and power tools safely
-
Read plans and measurements
-
Construct and maintain a variety of projects
-
Solve problems and work as part of a skilled team

Work on exciting projects supporting local industry

Gain a nationally recognised trade qualification – Certificate III in Carpentry
Receive on-the-job training and support throughout your apprenticeship
Learn both in the workplace and at TAFE

Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn

Can commit to completing a 4-year apprenticeship

Work well in a team

Can follow instructions and pay attention to detail

Are committed to workplace safety

Are willing to complete both TAFE studies and workplace training

Can pass a pre-employment medical
Bonus points if you have:

Completed Year 12 by 1 January 2027

A driver's licence (provisional licence accepted)

An Industry White Card
-
School subjects, projects or hobbies related to construction or woodworking

Volunteer or work experience that demonstrates initiative and a willingness to learn
No previous industry experience is required – we're looking for people with a great attitude and a willingness to learn.
