We are seeking an experienced and motivated Strength & Conditioning Coach to join our Sports Department and play a key role in supporting the physical development, performance and wellbeing of our students. Loreto Kirribilli is a Kindergarten to Year 12 independent Catholic day school for girls. About the Role
This fixed-term, part-time position is worked during school term time only across four days per week. Training sessions are conducted before and after school, with the opportunity to support PDHPE classes during the school day.
Reporting to the Director of Sport, you will play a key role in enhancing the physical development, performance of students and staff. Through the design and delivery of innovative and engaging strength and conditioning programs, you will help foster a positive culture of health, fitness and lifelong participation in physical activity.
Key Responsibilities

Design and implement strength and conditioning programs for individuals and groups, catering to a wide range of fitness levels and goals for both students and staff

Support athletic development across a range of sports and skill levels

Provide professional instruction in the safe and effective use of gym equipment and proper exercise techniques.

Promote best practice in movement, conditioning and injury prevention

Monitor student progress and adapt programs to meet individual and team needs

Collaborate with coaches, PDHPE staff and other key stakeholders

Foster a positive, inclusive and motivating training environment that encourages participation and engagement.

Regularly inspect gym equipment and facilities, reporting any faults, damages, or safety concerns promptly to the Fitness Centre Manager

Ensure the gym area is kept clean, tidy, and organised at all times, adhering to health and safety standards

Support PE teachers in the delivery of curriculum and extracurricular programs when required
About You
You are an energetic and knowledgeable coach who is passionate about developing young athletes and helping students achieve their potential.
You will bring:

Qualifications in Strength & Conditioning, Exercise Science or a related discipline

Experience working with adolescents and/or within a school or sporting environment

Strong knowledge of strength and conditioning principles, injury prevention and safe training practices

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

The ability to motivate and engage students with varying levels of experience and ability

A collaborative, professional and proactive approach
Essential Requirements

Current First Aid and CPR certification

Valid Working with Children Check
-
Relevant certification and/or professional accreditation in Strength and Conditioning, Exercise Science, Sport Science or a related field.
