About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our growing team in Melbourne’s west. In this role, you will provide high‑quality, person‑centred behaviour support services to NDIS participants across home and community settings.
You will work with individuals with complex needs, developing behaviour support plans, conducting assessments, and implementing evidence‑based strategies that improve quality of life, independence, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct functional behaviour assessments (FBA)
- Develop and implement Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans
- Provide training and guidance to families, carers, and support staff
- Monitor progress and review plans in line with NDIS requirements
- Complete high‑quality documentation, reports, and behaviour support submissions
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, support coordinators, and stakeholders
- Support participants to build capacity, reduce restrictive practices, and improve daily functioning
About You
- Recognised qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, or related field
- Experience working as a Behaviour Support Practitioner (Core, Proficient, or above)
- Strong understanding of Positive Behaviour Support and NDIS Practice Standards
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and report‑writing skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, WWCC, and driver’s licence and NDIS screening check.
