Heavy Rigid Truck Driving Positions – June 2026 (Immediate Start)
Bendigo Distribution Services is a locally owned company with over 20 years of experience delivering throughout Central and Northern Victoria. We are currently expanding our network, and we have 6 new opportunities for professional Heavy Rigid (HR) Truck Drivers to join our regional network.
The roster is 24-hour rotating hours with shifts from Sunday to Friday with a combination of day and night shifts so flexibility is a must.
About the Role:
As an HR Driver for the BDS network, you aren’t just moving freight; you’re delivering for your neighbours. Your day will include:
· Regional Expertise: Accessing country areas throughout Northern Victoria on a range of early morning and/or afternoon runs.
· Safe Operation: Driving modern HR vehicles between depots, retailers, and customer sites across regional Victoria.
· Loading & Unloading: Handling a variety of freight, including palletized goods, ULD’s and manual handling of parcels (up to 30kg).
· Vehicle Integrity: Performing daily pre-trip safety checks and maintaining a clean, safe vehicle.
· Customer Service: Representing both BDS and our clients with a professional, friendly, and helpful attitude.
· Chain of Responsibility: Adhering to all safety regulations and logbook requirements to ensure everyone gets home safe.
What You’ll Need
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring a safety-first mindset and the following:
· License: A current, unrestricted Heavy Rigid (HR) licence (Manual experience is highly regarded).
· Experience: A clean driving record and a solid understanding of regional road networks.
· Physical Fitness: This is an active role involving loading, unloading, and regular movement (expect to hit those 10,000+ steps!).
· Compliance: Be prepared to provide a driving history report, undergo a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening and nationally coordinated criminal history checks.
· Safety: Be safety-focused and understand the importance of chain of responsibility.
· Rights: Full Australian working rights (Citizenship or Permanent Residency).
