The key responsibilities of the role include:
Oversee and maintain clinical food service systems and processes including management of the electronic patient menu management system (ePMMS), therapeutic diets and menus, including compliance with State-wide and local KPIs for WMH.
Deliver high level practice in clinical food services to provide high quality and effective systems and processes and to apply clinical food service expertise to address complex clinical foodservice and/or workflow concerns.
Lead and collaborate on the development of evidence-based clinical food service practices, procedures and protocols within WMH using the principles of evidence-based practice with a high degree of independence.
What we're looking for
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
High level knowledge, expertise, and skill in clinical food service systems and processes.
High level knowledge, expertise, and skill in delivering Nutrition and Dietetic clinical services to inpatient and/or outpatient areas as allocated and required.
Ability to communicate effectively and to work cooperatively with multidisciplinary teams including internal and external stakeholders regarding service delivery and improvement opportunities.
Ability to provide novel solutions to complex clinical problems through the adaptation or modification of established procedures.
Ability to initiate, plan and evaluate clinical and /or food service quality improvement initiatives.
Mandatory Requirements
Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification, or equivalent in Nutrition & Dietetics and eligibility to hold the Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) credential.
