Role Overview
We are recruiting an experienced and motivated Employment Coach – Health & Wellbeing to support jobseekers into sustainable employment outcomes across the Caboolture region.
As an Employment Coach – Health & Wellbeing, you will manage a dedicated caseload of individuals, delivering personalised, strengths-based support to help them overcome both vocational and non-vocational barriers. Working within a structured employability programme, you will provide tailored case management, proactively engage regional employers, and collaborate with health, wellbeing, and community partners to drive successful job placements and long-term outcomes. This is a performance-driven role, ideal for someone with experience in Workforce Australia (WFA) or JobActive, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about improving lives through stable employment.
Key Responsibilities
Caseload Management & Participant Support
- Outcome Delivery: Manage a caseload of jobseekers, directly supporting them into meaningful, long-term employment.
- Intensive Case Management: Deliver intensive, individualised case management tailored to specific participant barriers.
- Action Planning: Conduct initial assessments and co-design tailored employment and action plans with participants.
- Barrier Alleviation: Support individuals to overcome complex vocational and non-vocational barriers.
- Post-Placement Support: Provide ongoing, post-placement support to sustain long-term employment outcomes.
Health & Wellbeing Support
- Targeted Interventions: Work closely with participants to identify and address health-related barriers to employment.
- Clinical Collaboration: Collaborate with psychologists, wellbeing practitioners, and community services to provide a holistic support network.
- Empowerment Practice: Deliver person-centred, strengths-based support interventions that promote resilience, confidence, and independence.
Employer Engagement & Job Outcomes
- Market Development: Engage with local employers to identify, secure, and map out active job opportunities.
- Candidate Matching: Match candidates to suitable vacancies aligned precisely to their strengths, capabilities, and personal goals.
- Interview Preparation: Support participants through job applications, interview preparation, and placement activities.
- B2B Relationships: Maintain strong, long-lasting employer relationships to generate ongoing placement opportunities.
Performance, Compliance & Systems
- KPI Metrics: Work toward key performance indicators including job placements, employment outcomes, and progress payments.
- Mutual Obligations: Ensure participants consistently meet their mutual obligation requirements.
- System Integrity: Maintain accurate, timely records using secure systems such as ESS, Salesforce, and internal CRM platforms.
- Contractual Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all programme guidelines and contractual requirements.
Essential Criteria
- Sector Experience: Proven experience working within Workforce Australia (WFA), JobActive, or closely related employment services.
- Caseload Control: Demonstrable experience managing a fast-paced caseload within a target-driven environment.
- KPI Achievement: A verifiable track record of achieving performance KPIs including job placements and outcomes.
- Complex Needs: Solid experience supporting individuals with diverse, complex, or multi-layered needs.
- Communication: Strong verbal, written, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Operational Resilience: Ability to manage competing priorities and perform effectively under pressure.
- Tech Literacy: Confident using CRM systems, electronic databases, and digital collaboration platforms.
Desirable Criteria
- Qualifications: A formal qualification in Community Services, Social Work, Counselling, or a related human services field.
- Specialist Support: Specialized experience supporting individuals facing specific health, wellbeing, or complex psychological barriers.
- Framework Knowledge: A deep understanding of compliance, policy, and performance frameworks within Workforce Australia.
- Multi-Agency Network: Experience working alongside multi-agency networks or health-based support services.
