Software Engineer – Job Responsibilities
The Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing and maintaining software solutions that support the company's solar energy operations, customer management systems and business processes.
Key duties include:
- Analysing business requirements and developing software solutions to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
- Designing, coding, testing and deploying web-based and mobile applications for solar sales, project management and customer service functions.
- Developing and maintaining CRM, workflow automation and data management systems used within the business.
- Evaluating existing software systems and recommending improvements to enhance performance, security and scalability.
- Collaborating with management and stakeholders to identify technology requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Integrating third-party platforms, APIs and cloud-based services with internal business systems.
- Developing reporting tools and dashboards to monitor sales performance, installation progress, customer enquiries and operational metrics.
- Conducting software testing, debugging and troubleshooting to ensure system reliability and functionality.
- Implementing cybersecurity measures, data protection protocols and software quality assurance standards.
- Preparing technical documentation, user manuals and system specifications.
- Researching emerging technologies and recommending innovative solutions to support business growth and digital transformation.
- Providing ongoing technical support, maintenance and upgrades for software applications and databases used by the company.
- Working with cross-functional teams to improve automation of solar quoting, scheduling, inventory management and customer communication processes.
- Ensuring software development activities comply with industry standards, company policies and relevant regulatory requirements.
Pay: $82,000.00 – $96,000.00 per year
