At dusk, we create moments that matter. With 150+ stores and a growing online channel, we’re entering our next phase of growth—and we’re looking for a Head of Planning to lead our merchandise planning function and drive commercial performance across the business.
Reporting to the GM of Merchandise, this is a key leadership role with 3 direct reports, owning the end-to-end planning strategy across stores and online.
The Role
You will lead the planning function to optimise sales, inventory, and margin outcomes, ensuring the right product is in the right place, at the right time.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead merchandise planning strategy across all categories and channels
- Own forecasting, budgeting and open-to-buy (OTB) management
- Drive inventory optimisation to maximise sell-through and minimise markdowns
- Translate data into actionable insights to improve performance
- Partner closely with Buying, Finance, Supply Chain and Retail teams
- Build and lead a high-performing planning team
- Understand GMROM, sell throughs, stock turns and space planning
This role sits at the centre of the commercial engine—connecting customer demand, product strategy, and financial outcomes.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience in retail merchandise planning at a senior level (minimum 3 years in a Head of Planning role)
- Strong track record in forecasting, inventory management and margin delivery
- Deep understanding of sales trends, stock-to-sales and performance analytics
- A highly commercial, data-driven mindset with strong attention to detail
- Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive outcomes
- Passion for developing teams and building capability
- Enjoy being hands on working alongside the team
- Proficiency in excel and embracing AI technology
