Our Rare Earths deposit in Mt Weld, Western Australia, is acknowledged as one of the highest-grade Rare Earths mine in the world– so you’re joining a very unique team! As a team member you will be contributing to the sustainable supply of rare earths metals which are used in oil & gas, electric vehicles, and wind turbines.
Lynas Rare Earths is seeking an experienced Shift Supervisor to join our Mt Weld Production team. This is a FIFO position from Perth to our Mt Weld Operations on an 8/6 roster (days and nights).
Reporting to the Production Superintendent, you will lead a team of 12 Process Technicians while ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations. This role is responsible for driving production performance, maintaining compliance with safety standards, and supporting team development.
As a highly valued member of the Lynas Rare Earths team, you will:
- Supervise and support Process Technicians to achieve safety and production targets
- Ensure compliance with site safety procedures and mining regulations
- Complete inspections, reports, and operational documentation
- Provide coaching, training, and development to team members
- Promote a positive, productive, and inclusive team culture
- Assist with operational improvements and change management initiatives
What you will bring to the team:
- Significant mineral processing experience, including flotation experience
- Previous leadership experience within a processing plant environment
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Solid understanding of PTW, isolations/LOTO, risk assessments and incident investigation
- Schedule 26 - Statutory Supervisor accreditation
- Current ‘C’ Class WA Manual Driver’s Licence
- Frontline Leadership qualification (desirable)
- Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment and Training (desirable)
- Degree in Process Engineering or Metallurgy (desirable)
