Kinetic is seeking a proactive Operations Controller (Nightshift) to support live transport operations. In this role, you’ll coordinate driver and vehicle movements, respond to incidents, and help maintain reliable services.
We welcome candidates from a range of backgrounds whether you have direct experience in transport operations or bring transferable skills from fast-paced environments such as logistics, emergency services, or operations coordination.
If you can stay calm under pressure, communicate clearly, and make sound decisions in real time, you’ll play a key role in delivering safe and efficient services.
Roster: 8:6 (days)
Enjoy a balanced schedule working Wednesday to Wednesday.
First 7 days 17:00 - 05:00 (Wednesday - Tuesday), and a half shift handover 17:00 - 23:30 on your final day (Wednesday).

Support daily operational activities, including service delivery, compliance monitoring, driver liaison, rostering, and reporting.

Work closely with senior leaders to help implement business plans and strategic objectives for the site.

Assist in the coordination and execution of school runs, route services, special events, and charter operations.

Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders, with a focus on high-quality service and performance.

Manage daily staff resource allocations, including maintaining driver rosters via Coach Manager.

Support cost-effective staffing strategies in collaboration with management.

Previous experience in transport, logistics, or operations is desirable but not essential full training will be provided.

Minimum MR (Medium Rigid) Driver’s Licence is required.

A current PTD (Passenger Transport Driver) accreditation and Working with Children Check, or the willingness to obtain them.

Current First Aid Certificate is preferred, or willingness to obtain.

Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

A strong customer service focus and excellent communication skills.

Intermediate computer literacy, with the ability to navigate integrated software systems (experience with TIMS is highly regarded).
