Primary School Tutor – Year 6 Student | Point Cook
The right tutor can completely change how a child feels about learning.
We’re looking for a caring, capable and genuinely committed tutor to support a Year 6 student through one-on-one, in-home tutoring in Point Cook.
This student needs someone who can build trust, adapt to how they learn and help them grow in both confidence and ability.
About the student
The student is currently in Year 6 and has Autism, so previous experience supporting students with Autism, additional learning needs or learning difficulties is strongly preferred.
We’re looking for someone who is patient, understanding and able to adapt their teaching style to the individual needs of the student.

- Has experience working with students with Autism or additional learning needs
- Is reliable and takes their commitment to their students seriously
- Communicates clearly and professionally with families and the Matching Minds team
- Can adapt their approach based on how the student learns best
- Is confident supporting a Year 6 student with their learning
Session details and availability
Sessions will be one-on-one in the student’s home in Point Cook and will run for approximately 60–90 minutes.
The successful tutor must be available on the following dates:
- 20 July
- 25 July
- 27 July
- 1 August
- 3 August
- 8 August
- 10 August
Please only apply if you can genuinely commit to the required sessions. Reliability and consistency are incredibly important to both the student and their family.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- A current Working with Children Check
- Your own ABN
- Experience supporting primary school students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine commitment to helping students build confidence and succeed
Opportunity for ongoing tutoring work
While this role is initially focused on supporting one student, we’re always looking for great tutors to join the Matching Minds team.
For the right person, there may be opportunities to work with additional students and take on more tutoring hours based on your availability.

Pay: $28.00 – $40.00 per hour
