About the Role
Endeavour Foundations provides onsite operational support to the local councils at the Resource Recycling Centres across the various Southern Downs Region waste facilities. Endeavour foundations operate the waste facilities and Recycling Second hand shop at our major locations in Warwick and Stanthorpe.
In this role, the Site Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day supervision & operations in meeting contractual obligations at these waste facilities sites. In reporting to the Recycling Manager, this role ensures that daily activities align with contractual obligations, safety standards, and performance targets. The Site Supervisor will manage site staff and disability supported employees at all locations, oversee operational logistics, and drive continuous improvement in service delivery and environmental outcomes. This role is based at the Site Office located in Warwick and requires travel to the near by other sites to oversee and supervise the staff as required and provide hands on support.
What You’ll Be Doing

Support the Recycling Manager in managing operating expenditure in line with budget and strategic aspirations.

Proven ability to coordinate projects and delegate activities to meet outcomes within required timeframes

Report incidents through appropriate reporting systems within reasonable timeframe to ensure investigation occurs and prevent recurrence

Promote and enhance the reputation of Endeavour Foundation by providing efficient customer service to contractors and members of the public to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction are achieved

Liaise with contractors, external suppliers and/or council or government representatives as required to ensure their requests are met and accurate information is provided in line with contractual obligations

Taking initiative to solve problems whilst operating in adherence to established work practices, procedures and routines

Ensure all cash handling follows organisational procedures, maintaining accurate records for audit and accountability purposes

Support Shift Supervisors with the day-to-day operations, ensuring all tasks are competed and meet required standards

Travel to each waste facility site required on regular basis within the southern down region.
What You’ll Bring to the team

Experience in managing large teams across multiple sites

Operations and People leadership & Management is required.

Supervisory experience in a recycling or similar environment where contractual requirements are required to be met, leading a team to meet targets.

Demonstrated competence in computer applications, i.e. Microsoft Word, Internet relevant to the role to ensure work is completed in a professional, accurate and timely manner

Weekend contact for escalations as designated.

Ability to move and lift items around the site to maintain site operations. This may be either manually or through the operation of mechanical plant (e.g. a forklift), if required.
