We're looking for a skilled remedial massage therapist to join us on a subcontractor basis at our Carlton clinic, with the opportunity to build and grow their own client base within an established, supportive practice.
About the Role
As a subcontracted massage therapist, you'll operate as an independent practitioner using our Carlton clinic space, equipment, and admin support, while managing your own client care and bookings under your own insurance.
You'll be responsible for:
- Delivering high-quality remedial, deep tissue, and/or relaxation massage treatments
- Assessing client needs and adapting treatment plans accordingly
- Accurate and timely clinical record-keeping (SOAP notes) in line with industry standards
- Communicating professionally with clients, reception staff, and other practitioners at the clinic
- Contributing to a positive, collaborative clinic culture
- Growing your own caseload through great client care and (optionally) contributing to clinic marketing/content
About You
Essential:
- Diploma of Remedial Massage (or equivalent recognised qualification)
- Current membership with a recognised association (e.g. ANTA, AMT, Massage & Myotherapy Australia) to enable health fund rebates for clients
- Current, valid Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance
- Own ABN and comfort working as an independent contractor
- Strong hands-on treatment skills across a range of techniques
- Excellent communication and client-care skills
- Reliable, professional, and punctual
Highly regarded:
- Experience treating a range of presentations (postural pain, sports/overuse injuries, chronic tension, etc.)
- Existing client base you can bring across
- Confidence with social media / content creation to support your own client growth
