We’re looking for a Warehouse Casual (Packing Assistant) to join our team. This is a hands-on role supporting our warehouse operations, ensuring orders are dispatched accurately, on time and in full, while upholding our high standards of quality.
You’ll work closely with our Wholesale / Warehouse Manager, Head of Retail, Allocation Supervisor, Jewellery Coordinator, Studio production teams, Online team, retail store staff and marketing team, playing a key part in keeping our logistics running smoothly.
Purpose of the Role
Assist and oversee the packing and dispatch of all orders and incoming deliveries – retail, wholesale and corporate.
Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality in every order that leaves the warehouse.
Provide general assistance to the Warehouse / Wholesale Manager and sales teams as required.
Core Responsibilities
- Pick, pack and wrap stock to customer or retail store requirements.
- Label, allocate, and quality-check all stock before dispatch.
- Coordinate and assist with all dispatch procedures, liaising with courier companies when needed.
- Assist Dispatch Coordinator and warehouse team in answering the doorbell intercom
- Assist online, marketing, wholesale with any packing as required
- Support stock replenishment and assist in stocktakes.
- Complete general admin tasks relating to sales orders.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised warehouse and work environment.
- Provide daily updates and clear handovers to management.
- Assist with palletising, storage organisation, and deliveries to designated areas.
- “Moisturise” stock as needed, maintaining product quality before allocation.
- Contribute to meetings, team updates, and continuous improvement discussions.
- Follow all OH&S and company safety procedures.
What We’re Looking For
- This role requires a good level of physical fitness. Candidates must be able to lift,carry, and move items weighing up to 20 kg on a regular basis (over 20kg assisted).
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
- Tasks may involve standing, walking, bending, or other physical activities for
extended periods throughout the shift.
- Proven ability to work well in a small team, take initiative and lead when required.
- Open to feedback and keen to develop skills.
- Strong attention to detail with a high standard of accuracy and care.
- Confident in handling emails, phone calls, and liaising with courier companies, marketing teams, and retail staff.
- Positive attitude, self-motivated, reliable, and able to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to be flexible during busy periods – communicating with managers about your
schedule in advance where possible to assist with rostering ie studying, exams or requesting extended leave
