This role offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled Electrician to contribute to the fire safety and electrical industry while working on diverse projects across New South Wales.
Key Responsibilities
- Reading and interpreting electrical and fire system drawings, specifications, and blueprints.
- Installing, testing, and repairing electrical wiring, circuit breakers, switchboards, and other electrical components.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical faults and malfunctions.
- Installing and maintaining fire detection systems, including alarms, panels, and associated wiring.
- Testing electrical and fire safety systems to ensure compliance with Australian regulations and safety standards.
- Ensuring proper grounding and wiring in accordance with industry best practices.
- Inspecting electrical installations and conducting necessary repairs or replacements.
- Working collaboratively with other tradespeople, engineers, and clients on electrical and fire system projects.
- Ensuring workplace safety and adhering to occupational health and safety (OHS) regulations.
- Documenting and reporting all work, including compliance certifications and safety inspections.
Selection Criteria
- To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience in electrical wiring, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- A valid NSW Electrical Licence (or ability to obtain one).
- Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician or an equivalent qualification.
- Experience with fire detection and alarm systems (highly desirable).
- Knowledge of Australian electrical safety standards (AS/NZS 3000) and fire system regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- White Card (Construction Induction Card).
- A valid driver’s licence (preferred).

Pay: $75,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
