Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care during all perioperative phases (scrub, scout, and/or anaesthetic and recovery).
- Assist surgeons and anaesthetists in general, Neuro and Spine procedures.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control and WHS standards.
- Ensure all equipment and instruments are prepared, maintained, and used safely.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient outcomes.
- Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives within the department.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum 2 years’ recent experience in Theatres (general + Neuro and Spine).
- Demonstrated competency in scrub/scout or anaesthetic/recovery roles.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to remain calm under pressure.
- A commitment to delivering safe, patient-centred care.
