About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced
Site Supervisor - Finishes & Defects to join our Queensland team, supporting the delivery of a
$200M+ Residential development on the Gold Coast.
This role will play a key part in the successful completion of the project, with a strong focus on
internal finishes, defect rectification, quality assurance, commissioning support and handover activities. Working closely with the Project Manager, Site Manager, subcontractors, consultants and client representatives, you will drive the timely resolution of defects and ensure all works are delivered to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate all finishes, defect rectification and completion activities across the project.
- Supervise subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel to ensure high-quality workmanship and timely completion of works.
- Monitor progress against the finishes and defects program, ensuring milestones are achieved safely and on schedule.
- Conduct quality inspections and identify defects, coordinating rectification works to achieve practical completion requirements.
- Oversee quality assurance processes, inspections, defect management and close-out activities.
- Coordinate commissioning, testing, practical completion and handover requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of defects, inspections, quality checks, reports and daily site diaries.
- Work closely with the project team, consultants and client representatives to facilitate inspections, approvals and project close-out.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, environmental requirements and workplace health and safety obligations.
- Proactively identify and resolve site issues, construction challenges and quality concerns.
- Provide leadership, direction and support to site teams and subcontractors throughout the completion phase.
About You
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Site Supervisor, Foreman or Finishes Supervisor within commercial construction.
- Demonstrated experience delivering finishes, defects, commissioning and handover phases on large-scale commercial construction projects.
- Experience working on projects valued at $100M+, with exposure to $200M+ projects highly regarded.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance processes, defect management systems and project completion activities.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, sequencing and site coordination.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and construction documentation.
- Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
- Strong leadership, planning and problem-solving abilities.
- Relevant trade qualification or tertiary qualification in Construction Management highly regarded.
