A well established local fast growing accounting firm with a varied client base located in the heart of Darwin require Taxation Accountant. Due to growth, an excellent opportunity exists for an Accountant to join our firm in taxation area. You will be given lot of inhouse training and will be responsible for the tax compliance of a portfolio of clients.
The role requires,
- Preparation of Individual & small business tax (range of structures) returns from start to finish
- Processing/reconciling bank accounts, payroll & superannuation for small to medium businesses
- Assisting clients with their XERO/MYOB related queries
- Completing BAS & IAS returns
- Researching issues
- Liaising with ATO & other regulatory bodies
We are looking for someone who has:
- A degree/qualification in Accounting or working towards it.
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience liaising with the ATO and other regulatory bodies
- Experience using the ATO Portal
- Ability to learn accounting software such as: Xero and Handitax
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour
