About the role
The Audiologist delivers high quality, evidence-based paediatric audiology services to children and their families within Metro North Health. Working primarily in an outpatient setting, the role focuses on diagnostic audiological assessment, consultation and clinical management, contributing to positive hearing and communication outcomes through patient-centred care.
The successful candidate will provide audiology services across a paediatric caseload, collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, maintain high quality clinical records and participate in service improvement activities. The role also supports professional development, education and supervision activities while contributing to research and the ongoing enhancement of audiology services.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Deliver high-quality paediatric audiology assessments and clinical services in an outpatient setting in accordance with professional standards and evidence-based practice.
Apply clinical judgement and problem-solving skills to support effective diagnosis, consultation and management of children with hearing concerns.
Work collaboratively with patients, families, multidisciplinary healthcare professionals and stakeholders to achieve positive health outcomes.
Provide education, supervision and support to students, allied health assistants and less experienced practitioners as appropriate.
Contribute to quality improvement, clinical audit, service development and research activities that strengthen audiology service delivery and patient care.
