Repairs damage to metal, plastic, aluminium and fibreglass body work on vehicles and, forms replacement vehicle panels using machine or hand tools. Duties involve determining vehicle damage and recommended repair procedure, removing damaged panels, fixing dents, using mechanical and hydraulic equipment to straighten and realign chassis and body frames and using oxy-acetylene and welding equipment to cut and join replacement sections or damaged panels. It will also be necessary to fill depressions with plastic fillers and file, grind and sand repaired surfaces using power and hand tools.
Pay: $57,957.36 – $110,000.00 per year
